Game Maker is a game creation program, capable of making 2-Dimensional video games. It's simple to use interface makes game creation easy, and when you want, you can start learning the programming language it has based upon C/ C+/ C++/ C#, allowing for even more control over your games, and even the ability to create 3-Dimensional games. Even though it is mainly meant for 2-Dimensional games, it has some functionality for 3-Dimensional games, and using DLLs [Dynamic Link Libraries], or even extension packages, you can excel your game beyond regular boundaries!
